What I find sad is a lot of people are exposed only to medical doctors and their theories  There are doctors out there that think because they have a plaque on the wall or a degree from a certain university that they are somehow more credible than the people who have struggled with this problem. I have learned to heal myself with natural methods without a doctors overpriced generic advice.

Most people think that if these natural methods work why isn’t everybody taking advantage of them, and doctors are not using them. Well it is mainly for the reason that doctors are only taught one school of thought. This narrow short sighted type of thinking has allowed cancer and many other illnesses to thrive. The western medical industry and many who believe in it have been left in the dark.

Many are getting misinformation about nutrition and bogus independent test and research claims. The reason that this all makes sense is that the drug companies need sick people to buy there drugs. If you eat right and stay healthy there would be no need to see a doctor unless you broke a bone. For years people have been misinformed due to the insane amounts of profit that there is in keeping people sick and tired and needy.

I am outraged that all I see is people charging you for advice on what anti depressant to take and how you need to just change your habits with cognitive behavioral therapy and or habit reversal therapy. These methods are barely better than just saying to someone “you need to just stop pulling or picking and just quit.” There is a bigger underlying problem and or force causing these people to have uncontrollable urges and this article is focused on pinpointing the main things that are causing these urges.

Trichotillomania Treatment Is As Easy As Changing A Few Things In Your Life

 

Ok so I will start going down the list of problems that can be causing the symptom of picking or pulling.

#1 -Artificial sweeteners 

Aspartame is one of the genetically altered poison that needs to be eliminated for many reasons. The main reason is, it has been shown for some to be the very thing that is causing there picking or pulling. Getting rid of diet pops and anything that is “sugar free” such as gum, jello etc can help reduce many types of cancers and can cause you to have uncontrollable picking urges and not know why. Also Reduce or eliminate regular sugar as well as it can start causing problems but artificial sweeteners are much worse.

#2 -Gluten intolerance’s

Many people who have trichotillomania as well as dermatillomania have a gluten intolerance and usual may not even know it. The picking and pulling is a
symptom of the gluten intolerance for some. All processed pastas, breads, microwave pizza other frozen ready made meals all usually will be packed with gluten.

Changing your diet to eating only whole foods with no processing is one of the best ways to get your urges to stop now. Many people with trichotillomania reported that by cutting down on the gluten and franken-foods has had a positive impact on greatly reducing their urges to pull their hair as well as pick their skin.

Easy Tip:

Try eating for your specific Blood type or try eating a Paleo diet. If you can’t get yourself on a diet schedule just yet at least start trying to not eat anything that comes in a colorful box. Anything with a fun colorful label and neat song or advisement but no claims of how good it is for you is usually bad Gluten and GMO type foods.

When the right dosing value of nutrients is established, the hair pulling and/or skin picking abruptly stops and the picker or puller simply just doesn’t have the urge to do it anymore. Prior to the development of this type of treatment, real results treating trichotillomania with prescription drugs were poor to non-existent. #5 Magnesium deficiency can be a main factor that is causing the pulling or picking   urges

Most often, deficiency is simply a result of failure to obtain adequate magnesium from such dietary sources as:

  • Wheat germ
  • Cocoa
  • Desiccated liver
  • Eggs
  • Green vegetables
  • Soybeans
  • Almonds

In some instances, however, absorption of nutrients can be impaired by coexisting illness, such as an intestinal infection. In such an event, much of the ingested magnesium may be lost from the body.

Magnesium Deficiency can be the main problem when struggling with trichotillomania and dermatillomania. When you put back the Magnesium into your body that your deficient in many report that they no longer have trichotillomania and or OCD symptoms.

How Much Magnesium Should You Take:

  • 350 mg – 400 mg of Magnesium Taurate (take with a 100 calorie snack or a meal) Take an additional 1,000 mg to 2,000 mg of a Taurate supplement.

Some people find they take as much as 2,000 mg of Magnesium Taurate to relieve their symptoms. Avoid Calcium supplements, they are dangerous and will shorten your life. You get all the calcium you need from natural sources. Space your Magnesium dosages apart at four hour intervals. If you feel your body is out of balance and isn’t functioning right with some symptoms still remaining, I would think that excess calcium is to blame, especially if you have been supplementing it.

Calcium and magnesium need to be in the correct proportions

Calcium turns from a nutrient into a pollutant causing heart malfunction, swollen and painful joints, calcification of vital organs, senility, and weakening bones that eventually completely degenerate. For these exact reasons excess calcium can become a real problem, while excess magnesium, on the other hand, is not of any concern. Unlike calcium, magnesium does not build up in the body; excess amounts are simply flushed out.
